Summary of the contracting process

Aberdeenshire Council is currently initiating a tender for the "Hard FM - Lifecycle Component Replacement Projects (DPS Framework)," which aims to establish a framework of contractors for various lifecycle component replacement projects across Aberdeenshire. This procurement process, classified under the works industry category, has a submission deadline set for 18th January 2022. The process follows a selective procurement method and involves electronic submissions through the Public Contracts Scotland website. This framework is specifically designed to facilitate ongoing lifecycle maintenance, encompassing works such as boiler upgrades, window replacements, and electrical rewiring.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction and maintenance businesses seeking to expand their operations in the public sector. Companies that specialise in general public services and construction-related works, particularly those with capabilities in maintenance and replacement projects, would be well-positioned to compete. Furthermore, as the tender employs a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), interested suppliers will have the chance to join the framework even after the initial closing date, enabling broader participation and the potential for ongoing collaboration with Aberdeenshire Council.
