Notice Description

The purpose of the Lead Survey Report is to help the council identify surfaces that may contain lead based paint in buildings pre mid-80s. This may form part of a management system to help mitigate the risk of exposure from lead poisoning, by providing information to both employees and third parties before carrying out any work activities in older buildings.

The Lead Survey to be carried out will relate to the council's duty to review workplaces, in this specific case schools and Early Years Centres, in order to establish possible exposure to lead if undertaking painting/ decorating tasks and its possible amount in each building. Full details are contained within the attached specification

Options: A schedule of rates has also been requested to allow for additional testing where this is deemed necessary by the council

Renewal: The authority reserves the right to extend this contract for a further 4 week period
