South Lanarkshire Council has a requirement for a suitably qualified provider for the provision of the Receipt and Treatment of Co-mingled Food & Garden Waste throughout South Lanarkshire. The proposed contract is a renewal of previous procurement arrangements. The call-off contract is under the Scotland Excel Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Treatment and Disposal of Recyclable and Residual Waste (no. 27/17). The Call Off Contract under the DPS is awarded via Mini-Competition: Lot 3 - Receipt and Treatment of Co-mingled Food & Garden Waste The Mini Competition contained two geographical sub-lots as detailed below to ensure that the travelling distances and times to/from the reprocessors' facilities are maintained to a minimum. Lot 3 - Receipt, Treatment and Processing of Co-mingled Food & Garden Waste 3.1 - Call Off Contract for Co-mingled Food & Garden Waste (North Area) 3.2 - Call Off Contract for Co-mingled Food & Garden Waste (South Area) The Council reserved the right to appoint one or more contractors under each Mini Competition based on each geographical sub-lot.
