This will then provide a foundation for further growth to support the government's wider vision for shared services and the ability to be a data driven organisation.This role sits within the Purchase to Pay Governance (P2PG) branch, which is part of the Scottish Procurement & Property Directorate. The branch is responsible for supporting and managing the Scottish Government's (SG) corporate Procurement Shared Service. The service provides cloud based, on-demand Procure to Pay (P2P) tools for over 2,500 core SG and partner customers. Circa PS1.6 billion worth of orders for goods and services flow through the applications annually.The corporate shared services programme is the initial focus of this role but will widen as the portfolio of corporate transformation programmes expands. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the early stages of creating this new organisation.As a Data Analyst on the corporate Shared Services Programme, you will have a key role in helping the project team and our stakeholders understand corporate services data by thorough investigation and the presentation of data in a way that supports understanding.Data scrutiny will focus on file based data sets and use of tools like Excel and Power BI. Tools and data sources are likely to change over time, applicants should be adaptable to operational changes.The post holder should be a first-rate communicator with a high degree of soft skills.
