15nr Sheltered Housing Complexes - Upgrading of Warden Call Systems
Notice Description
North Lanarkshire Council (the "Council") is required to appoint a single contractor to upgrade and replace Warden Call Systems to 15nr Sheltered Housing Complexes at various locations within North Lanarkshire Council. The Works to each complex will comprise the following: 1.Replacement of existing warden central control equipment. 2.Warden display panel. 3.Warden's telephone handset. 4.Replacement of DECT telephone equipment, including aerials to allow wardens to accept calls throughout the complex. 5.Replacement of existing speech modules, pull cords, motion detection equipment within dwellings (consultant to advise regarding renewal or re use of existing internal wiring). 6.Replacement of existing site wide wireless network to allow installation of additional alarm devices within dwellings. 7.Connection of existing smoke and heat alarms to the warden call system or installation of new domestic heat alarms as required. 8.Replacement of existing interconnecting wiring between individual dwellings either through properties or in existing underground ducting. 9.Any other works identified on a complex by complex basis. 10.The works to include all necessary electrical works as well as builders work and making good associated with each installation

The minimum acid-test ratio a company should have is 1:00. Bidders with a ratio of less than 1:00 will be assessed as a FAIL and will be excluded from the competition The \"Acid Test\" financial ratio will be calculated as follows: Current Assets (minus stocks, inventories, and securities) / Current Liabilities. SPD criteria allows the Council to assess Bidders financial standing. By applying an Acid Test Ratio of 1.00, it ensures only Bidders who are trading on a solvent basis could be appointed to the contract. 4B.5.1 Bidders must confirm they already have or commit to obtain prior to the commencement of the contract: - Professional Risk Indemnity Insurance - 5m GBP in the aggregate - Employers Compulsory Liability - 10m GBP each and every claim Bidders identified for appointment to the contract will be required to either: - Provide insurance certification evidence demonstrating that they have the minimum levels of insurance provision; or. - Provide a letter / statement to the Council confirming that they will obtain all required insurance levels within 28 calendar days of receiving a Letter of Acceptance This element will be assessed on a pass / fail basis. Where the bidder is unable to confirm (b) they must provide an improvement plan, signed by their Director, which demonstrates how they will improve their payment performance Bidders who fail to confirm they have the systems in place to pay subcontractors through their supply chain promptly and effectively will be assessed as FAIL and being excluded from the Procurement.
