Multi-agency public sector partners in Aberdeen City are working to develop a Family Support Model to ensure that the services being delivered to children and families are effective, prioritise early intervention and are aligned to The Promise and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The changing landscape in national policy, legislation and increasing demand on services due to Covid-19 requires a more responsive and agile system to meet the needs of children and families. As part of this wider transformation programme, partners want to change how services are commissioned from the third sector by moving towards a collaborative approach with the aim of developing an alliance to develop and deliver early intervention family support services to children and families in Aberdeen City. Aberdeen City Council is now embarking on these first steps of engagement with the wider market to start developing the outcomes of the alliance.
