Air Quality Monitoring Support Services - Scottish Government Air Quality Grant Scheme
Notice Description
The Council's Environmental Services has an ongoing statutory obligation in terms of air quality under the Environment Act 1995. The obligations on the Council include the monitoring and subsequent reporting of air quality to protect and enhance standards of air quality within the South Lanarkshire geographical area. The Council, upon successful application, receives external funding from the Local Air Quality Management Funding (LAQM) administered by the Scottish Government Air Quality Grant Scheme to fund obligated activities to develop measures to record, protect and enhance standards of air quality throughout the South Lanarkshire geographical area. The Council therefore wish to procure a Consultant to assist with the delivery of the Council's statutory duties in terms of air quality legislation. The following projects are essential projects required on an annual basis to enable the Council to provide information to the Scottish Government: Progress Report Quality Audit and Quality Control Services Local Site Operator Services In addition to the essential tasks, there will be a requirement for non-essential / ad-hoc tasks throughout the contract period. Procurement will be conducted via the Open Tendering procedure and the ITT will be published in Public Contracts Scotland Tender (PCST).. Quality Award Criteria listed below: Service Delivery Qualifications/Experience of Staff Added Value Account Management Fair Work First Community Benefits - minimum of 40 points
Renewal: Contract has an optional extension of up to 24 months subject to satisfactory performance, financial standing and available funding. Contract will be renewed prior to the end of the contract period of any contract.
