Notice Title

Virtual Large Events Platform

Notice Description

Virtual Event Software for Large Events undertaken by business units across the University

Lot Information

Lot 1

Awarded under Reg 6(4)(b) For the purchase of additional goods, where the University would have compatibility issues or disproportionate technical difficulties in purchasing from a party other than original supplier Justification: The large events platform market is evolving at a rapid rate, driven by the urgent and global need to run virtual (and then hybrid) events across all industries. The University will only be in a position to write a comprehensive and accurate set of requirements once we have gained sufficient experience in setting up and running virtual and hybrid events. Any statement of requirements written now would not be a reliable indicator of the functionality required in 2-3 years' time. As such, changing from the original supplier at this time would cause disproportionate technical difficulties and could result in substantive duplication of time and resource in undertaking multiple short term contracts. A Hybrid and Online Conferences project team has been assembled and is currently collating University wide requirements & undertaking market research/engagement. It is the intention to go to market within the next 12-18 months.
