Renfrewshire Council has a requirement for a contractor to clean and maintain a number of bus shelters throughout its boundary. This contract is expected to provide income to the Council as the contractor will achieve revenue through advertising. The Council currently has: -191 advertising sites, of which 10 are currently digital; -225 non advertising sites; and -6 bespoke sites, which have paper advertising panels. The contractor may, from time to time, be expected to install new bus shelters. The contractor will be responsible for all necessary planning permissions, providing the new shelter and any power supply requirements as well as all costs and maintenance. Where the Council chooses to install a bus shelter without advertising then it will do so at the Council's expense. Bus shelters installed by the Council will be added to the contract for maintenance and repair.
