Public Library Management Solution
Notice Description
The existing library management system solution has been in place for 20 years. The service now requires to go to market, in order to tender for an improved LMS that has enhanced knowledge management options, is cloud based and has improved stock management options and an enhanced customer facing front end. The costs outlined below incorporate 77,000GBP for transfer and roll out and an estimated 105,000GBP over the following 3 years for license and support costs. The license and support costs will be met out of existing revenue budgets.

Libraries have operated an online library management system for over 30 years. This business-critical system operates 5 key areas of the library service offer: stock lending, stock purchasing, customer data, online customer engagement and performance management. The service also requires a solution that is better integrated with its online lending options, offers a better knowledge management solution and improved customer experience via the front-end web portal. The service also wishes to develop options around integrated self-issue as part of the community hubs development model and create links between the system and the BI Hub so that the management of customer data is automated. All options that are not possible with the current library management system
