Supply & Delivery of 8 x Continuous Automatic Nitrogen Oxides Analysers
Notice Description
Finance has been secured for the purchase and installation of eight continuous automatic NOx analysers to be installed in the Council's existing automatic air monitoring stations. These continuous automatic NOx analysers will be required to monitor Oxides of Nitrogen continuously in order to fulfil the Council's statutory duty under the Local Air Quality Management framework.

Key Requirements to be Delivered under the contract: The specification for the Supply and Installation of Air Monitoring Equipment for Continuous automatic monitoring of Oxides of Nitrogen shall include: The analysers must provide NO-NO2-NOx measurement using chemiluminescence method, under EU Standard Method EN 14211:2021. The analysers must be approved by DEFRA for use in the UK for LAQM purposes. The requirements for UK Oxides of Nitrogen analysers are set out in the Continuous Ambient Measurement Systems (CAMS) performance standard. Proof of DEFRA equivalence approval should be submitted with quotation. The analysers should have on-board auto-calibration that can be set to auto-calibrate as required e.g. every three days Span gas cylinders with regulators and associated pipework and zero gas generators. The analysers must be compatible with existing data loggers, routers and data viewing portals (Ecoweb or Acoem Online). Remote online viewing of data requires to be provided within the contract. This could be done either using equipment already installed (see table below for details). Alternatively, if not compatible with existing equipment then details, including costs of any other equipment required must be detailed in the response and included within the bid. Power supply: 230V, 50Hz, max. 250VA Instrument and associated equipment, including gas cylinders, must be capable of being installed inside existing enclosure. The eight sites in which the NOx analysers will be situated are Chapelhall, Croy, Kenilworth Drive, Kirkshaws, Menteith Rd, New Edinburgh Rd, Plantation Rd and Shawhead. Photographs of the interiors of the eight monitoring stations are included below. For information, the dimensions of the existing NOx analysers in place are L 55cm x H 22cm x W 44cm.
