Tenancy Support and Money advice Service to tenants of Melville Housing Association

Lot 1

Our current outsourced service is provided by 2 full time Tenancy Support Workers each working 35 hours per week and 1 part time Money Adviser working 17.5 hours per week. We anticipate that the continued outsourced service will be based on a similar number of staff and hours as our existing service. It is expected that the Tenancy Support and Money Advice service will be provided on an outreach basis with links to our office in Dalkeith. The successful bidder will demonstrate that their Service Delivery Plan supports and enhances our aims to support new and existing tenants to settle into their homes and to give them the best chance of sustaining their tenancies. The support should be light touch tenancy support to ensure over a period of no more than 6 months with relevant signposting to other agencies where required. We estimate 100 to 150 referrals to the Tenancy Support service per year and approx.75 to 100 Money Advice referrals. The Tenancy Support Workers will focus on one-to-one support sessions with tenants covering a range of issues including; Debt and paying bills Funding applications Budgeting Claiming Benefits Household tasks Safety and security Settling into the community Furnishing the home Training and employment GP/Dentist registration Signposting to other relevant agencies The Money Adviser will focus on one-to-one casework sessions with tenants covering; Debts issues Budgeting Debt management up to and including sequestration and Debt Arrangement Schemes Providing benefit calculations and a full range of money advice information Signposting to other relevant agencies

Renewal: 2 Optional Further years to be mutually agreed upon
