Notice Description

To provide but not limited to - door to door transport, local bus services, demand responsive transport, ad hoc transport services and if required ASN and home to school transport. This contract would replace current door to door and fixed bus route bus services and additionally provide enhanced public transport provision particularly for those communities who have limited or no public transport. It is envisaged that a small accessible PCV ( passenger carrying vehicle) of less than 16 seats would be used. The Council would hire the vehicle and driver from the successful contractor with the Council retaining all revenue.

A meeting will be arranged as noted below and will be opened with a brief summarisation of the contract, conditions of contract and then an informal question and answer session from operators. This will enable operators to ask questions about this novel method of public transport service delivery in an informal environment and allow all attendees to hear the responses from council officers and other operators to improve their understanding of what the contract involve Clackmannanshire Council will be inviting tenders for the provision of a Multi-Use Vehicle (MUV) public transport contract within Clackmannanshire sometime mid to late May 2023 to provide but not limited to - door to door transport, local bus services, demand responsive transport, ad hoc transport services and if required ASN and home to school transport. This contract would replace current door to door and fixed bus route bus services and additionally provide enhanced public transport provision particularly for those communities who have limited or no public transport. It is envisaged that a small accessible PCV ( passenger carrying vehicle) of less than 16 seats would be used. The Council would hire the vehicle and driver from the successful contractor with the Council retaining all revenue..
