Where windows have been boarded or bricked over, the windows are to be removed and the openings bricked up. The method of achieving the works will be by external propping to reduce the risk of disturbing the asbestos in the floors and solum. It is intended that the Main Contractor should use a specialist sub-contractor for the temporary works/external propping, and for the supply of the windows and lintels. Joiner and M&E works for enabling/remedial work which may be carried out by the main contractor or a sub contractor.
