The Council require an experienced Clockmaker/Watchmaker Contractor to Inspect, Service, carry out Planned Maintenance & reactive Repairs to 40 no Public Clocks throughout Fife.

Fife Council is seeking tenders from service providers to establish a framework agreement for the INSPECTION, SERVICING, PLANNED MAINTENANCE & REACTIVE REPAIRS OF PUBLIC CLOCKS installed in 40 buildings throughout Fife as detailed in the Tender Documents. Works may be instructed to be executed at weekends and out of hours. The Contractor shall also advise the Client on compliance with relevant legislation/regulations/best practice, provide recommendations and upgrade proposals and costs, all relating to the public clocks, and provide where possible first time fix repairs. Where a first time fix is not possible a maximum 48 hour fix time to restore to fully operational service will apply. Some clocks are located in properties which are not administered/owned by Fife Council. The successful tenderer must also be competent and have working experience in night silencing, dial restoration, clock restoration, automatic regulation and autowinding. This Framework will be awarded to multiple Suppliers. Fife Council anticipates concluding this framework agreement with the 3 highest scoring tenderers, in so far as there is a sufficient number of tenderers who satisfy the selection criteria and submit admissible/compliant tenders which meet the award criteria. Appointment to the framework shall be based on Quality/ Price 4.3 The 3 highest scoring tenderers will be selected as parties to the Framework Agreement and notified of their ranking, whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd. and their overall score..
