Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Enterprise has awarded contracts under the "Growth Investment Support Services Framework" to a number of suppliers through an open procedure. The procurement, focused on economic affairs, encompasses services related to investment management, accounting, and corporate finance interventions. The procurement process, now in the award stage, was initiated in March 2024 and finalised on 23rd October 2024, with contracts signed for active service provision. The successful suppliers for Lot 1, titled 'Bespoke Investments,' include PricewaterhouseCoopers, and for Lot 2, titled 'Core Funding Investments,' the suppliers are Henderson Loggie LLP, Grant Thornton UK LLP, and Chiene + Tait LLP. The procurement covers regions within the UK, particularly Scotland (UKM), and addresses services falling under CPV classifications 79412000, 66122000, and 79400000.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially those specialising in corporate finance and investment management. For SMEs, Lot 2 offers chances to engage more frequently with smaller, lower-value projects, promoting incremental growth and market presence. Larger firms, on the other hand, can leverage Lot 1 to handle more complex and higher-value deals, enhancing their portfolio and experience in significant financial interventions. Businesses proficient in finance, accounting, and investment consultancy, regardless of their size, are well-suited to compete for such frameworks, potentially driving substantial business growth and industry expertise.
