Summary of the contracting process

Inverclyde Council has initiated an open tender process for the provision of "Affordable After School and School Holiday Childcare" services across three designated areas within Inverclyde: Port Glasgow, Greenock East/Central, and Greenock South/Southwest. The procurement stage is currently active, focusing on the delivery of high-quality childcare services that accommodate individual needs while meeting regulatory standards. Interested parties must submit their electronic tenders by 12:00 PM on 2nd December 2024. The contract is valued at £330,000 GBP, with services set to commence post-12:00 PM the same day. The process follows an open procedure, open to electronic submissions, overseen by Inverclyde Council's procurement team based in Greenock, Scotland (UKM83).

This tender represents a significant business opportunity for firms specialising in childcare services and compliance with strict regulatory standards, including SSSC Registration and Disclosure Scotland certification. Companies with capabilities in marketing, community engagement, and providing subsidised childcare places to low-income families are ideally suited. With the potential for contract renewal post-2026 and a substantial contract value, this tender can drive business growth for organisations capable of delivering comprehensive and high-standard childcare solutions. Additionally, firms must demonstrate robust financial health and past relevant experience to be competitive in this procurement process.
