Summary of the contracting process

The Ferguslie Park Housing Association has initiated a procurement process for a two-year bulk uplift collection services contract, covering residential properties within the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley. The contract, valued at £350,000 with potential extensions up to a maximum duration of five years, falls under the housing and community amenities sector. The procurement is currently in the tender stage with a closing deadline for submissions on 20 January 2025. The open procedure method is being used, and suppliers are expected to make electronic submissions. The contract's performance will be closely monitored with specified key performance indicators, and any performance below the acceptable level will require the contractor to produce a remedial plan.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in waste collection and bulk uplift services. Companies with a robust track record in delivering similar services and possessing the necessary technical equipment and workforce will be well-suited for this contract. Moreover, businesses with strong financial stability, as evidenced by an annual turnover of at least £140,000, and holding relevant insurances, will meet the selection criteria. Given the potential for contract extensions and the possibility of handling increased volumes of properties, this tender offers scope for long-term business growth and stability.
