The Scottish Ministers, Marine Directorate invites tenders for the maintenance of the Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) on MPV's Jura, Minna and Hirta on an annual basis. The requirement is to visit each vessel (MPV Jura, Minna & Hirta) at an agreed timing to performance maintenance on the IPMS of each vessel annually.

The current Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) is based on a computerised system last upgraded in 2013 on MPV Minna, 2014 on MPV Jura and 2015 on MPV Hirta. The system employed uses MOXA Marine PC's. MPV Jura and MPV Hirta have two PCs hard-wired together forming dual-redundant work stations in the machinery control room (MCR), linked by a fibre-optic ring main to nine Input / Output (I/O) plates, and a third PC in the engine room workshop as a remote workstation. MPV Minna has two PCs hard-wired to each other forming dual-redundant work stations in the machinery control room (MCR), linked by a fibre-optic ring main to six Input / Output (I/O) plates Due to the increasing age of the systems electronic components, there have been several failures on the input/output plates and slices, along with other sensitive electronic components. The requirement is to visit each vessel (MPV Jura, Minna & Hirta) at an agreed timing to performance maintenance on the IPMS of each vessel annually.
