Notice Description

The aims of the service at Clydesdale Street are to provide a flexible, holistic and client centred approach to service provision, for service users assessed as requiring accommodation in a Supported Accommodation environment. The primary aim of the Service is to support homeless households to resolve their homelessness, prevent repeat homelessness and sustain appropriate temporary and permanent accommodation.

The primary aim of the service is to provide safe and secure emergency 'first stop' accommodation for homeless individuals or couples or households with children, and where appropriate, ensure that their housing support needs are met within the accommodation.

Procurement Information

The award of this contract under the Negotiated Tendering Procedure can be justified under Standing Order 9.3.1 (b), 10.4a (i) and 10.4a (iv) of the Council's Standing Orders on Contracts for the following reasons: - The works, services or supplies can be supplied by only one suitable contractor because competition is absent for technical reasons and no alternative or substitute exists and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement. Standing Order 10.4a (i) In the opinion of the Executive Director the needs of the individual(s) concerned would be best met by a particular Provider; and Standing Order 10.4a (iv) there are special circumstances such as ownership of land or property, geographic locations or particular skills or experience of providers of social care which limit the choice to one provider.
