Specifically, the Council is looking to transition to a 100% community based temporary accommodation and close the outdated 24 bed hostel which currently operates 24/7. In closing the hostel the requirement for a telephone service out of hours has been identified to provide statutory assistance to individuals and families in housing crisis out with office hours.
