Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Golden Jubilee has initiated a procurement process for a managed taxi service under a selective, restricted procedure. This tender seeks a single supplier to provide a 24/7 transport service for passengers and urgent packages, including medical records and lab samples, across the Clydebank area. The procurement is at the tender stage with submissions due by 3rd November 2025. The buying organisation, NHS Golden Jubilee, requires a provider that can ensure punctuality and reliability, with services operating without interruption throughout the year.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in transport services, particularly those accredited with licenses under the Civil Government (Scotland) Act 1982. Companies that can ensure fast response times, and have the capacity to handle approximately 2,400 journeys annually, will find this tender an excellent opportunity for growth. With the procurement method necessitating comprehensive compliance with Police Scotland's organised crime mitigation protocols, well-established firms with strong regulatory credentials are best positioned to compete in this process.
