The Supplier will provide a high standard of advice and guidance to Redress Scotland, to cover all aspects of health and safety. This will include health and safety in the workplace; digital working for employees, Board and panel members; specialist management support in relation to the specialist nature of the work of Redress Scotland which deals with highly sensitive and traumatic materials. Employees and Board and panel members will be exposed to and working with applications from people who have experienced abuse in their childhoods. It is likely that applications and associated material will be potentially very distressing to read, discuss and hear about. This may have a negative impact on the wellbeing of people in Redress Scotland, therefore risk assessing and taking steps to mitigate the risks will be an important part of the work of the Supplier. The Supplier will provide the following requirements: Annual review of policy and guidance to ensure compliance with legislation and guidance but also to develop a robust health and safety approach to our work; provide an approach to identifying, managing and mitigating health and safety risks, through annual assessment and reporting on activity; develop risk assessments for the Purchaser and supporting the implementation of risk mitigations; establish a robust and pro-active health and safety improvement and development plan, reviewed and updated regularly throughout the year; complete an annual health and safety audit which will include reviewing relevant documentation, accidents and incidents and speaking with a selection of employees and board and panel members; using the audit to drive improvements to health and safety across the organisation, including updating the improvement plan; provide advice and support to the Chief Executive, senior team and Board members; provide a named contact or telephone enquiry line for support during business hours; provide, if requested, training on health and safety for employees, Board and panel members; present an annual report on health and safety to the Redress Scotland Board; respond to any urgent concerns or issues in relation to health and safety; and support the Purchaser to develop a robust and positive culture in relation to health and safety. The health and safety policy will be a crucial document in promoting and committing to a strong health and safety culture. This must cover all aspects of the Purchaser's work and take account of digital working and the varied roles and responsibilities of employees and Board and panel members. The policy should also include risk, and how risks will be managed by the Purchaser. Managing and mitigating risk is an important area of work for the Board and senior team. The Supplier will provide a system and approach to risk identification, management and mitigation that is straightforward and easy to use. This should include templates and a methodology for assessing risks. The Contract term will be for an initial 3 year period with 2 x 12 month optional extension periods. The budget for this requirement is estimated to be in the range of 35,000 - 40,000 for the overall maximum contract term..
