Notice Description
Glasgow City Council is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the city's five closed landfill sites; Cathkin 1, Cathkin 2, Kilgarth, Summerston and Wilderness. At this time, the two main sites requiring pumps are Cathkin 2 and Summerston landfills. The monitoring and maintenance involves the siting of various types of pumps to control and manage surface water and leachate which must be managed in accordance with the landfill sites' waste management licences regulated by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
