Summary of the contracting process

The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority is procuring consultancy services for a "Water Delivery Plan" project, which falls under the services category. This open procedure is part of the tender stage, with electronic submissions accepted via the provided online platform. The procurement aims to develop a comprehensive plan for the National Park, focusing on biodiversity, climate change adaptation, and flood risk management. The project, located in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park (region: UKM81), anticipates a value of £25,000 GBP. Interested service providers must submit their proposals by 21st October 2025, with the award period set to begin immediately after on the same date.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for consultancy firms specialising in environmental planning, water management, and climate adaptation strategies. Companies with experience in developing long-term resilient water environments and nature restoration plans will find this tender particularly relevant. Firms capable of delivering comprehensive projects that include monitoring, reporting, and phasing plans over both short and long-term horizons will be well-suited to compete. The project emphasises practical delivery for nature restoration, making it an excellent opportunity for businesses aiming to expand their portfolio in environmental consulting within public sector frameworks.

Notice Description

Water Delivery Plan

Lot Information

Lot 1

1. It is a plan for the National Park as a place - so will need actions that cover the whole place for a range of partners, not just the National Park Authority 2. We are looking holistically at a resilient water environment, for biodiversity as well as considering other key factors such as climate change adaptation and flood risk and not focusing very narrowly just on water quality 3. We are therefore looking to consider a range of condition ratings and measurements to guide and prioritise practical delivery for nature restoration and climate change adaptation that reflect opportunities and realities across the Park for species and a range of habitats, including tributary streams, bogs, fens, marshes, springs, ditches, ponds, wet meadows etc. Whilst the River basin management Plan addresses these concepts, it gives little steer on the full range of practical actions that could or should be delivered in the context of this National Park. 4. To enable delivery partners to achieve meaningful nature restoration, the delivery plan needs to provide: - clear priority projects on the ground - monitoring and reporting progress - phasing plans for 1 and 5 years - forward looking actions to 2045 long-term vision.
