TV System Upgrade MV Finlaggan
Notice Description
CalMac Ferries Ltd (CFL) are looking to upgrade the current TV system in the passenger area onboard the Lloyds registered Ro-Ro passenger ship, MV Finlaggan (IMO: 9482902) as the current system is no longer fit for purpose. CFL are looking to award a contract for the design, supply (including delivery, storage and preservation), installation and commissioning of the upgrade to the existing system on MV Finlaggan. It is intended that works will be carried out during the vessels annual overhaul period in April 2026. The overhaul period is expected to last approximately 20 days with dates, duration and location to be confirmed by CalMac at least 30 days prior to docking.

CalMac Ferries Limited (CFL) are looking to upgrade the existing passenger TV system on MV Finlaggan. Tenderers are invited to submit a proposal to upgrade the vessels existing TV system with a new supportable equivalent. The intent is to provide a working, reliable system aligning with the functions provided as per the original design. As part of the tender process, there will be an opportunity for Tenderers to undertake a visit to MV Finlaggan at Kennacraig. Tenderers must take advantage of this opportunity to assess the existing system arrangements and ascertain the necessary information to develop a proposal that fully meets the needs of CFL. This is a mandatory requirement to physically survey MV Finlaggan. The proposed survey date is Thursday 13th November. Tenderers must advise if this date is not suitable and propose an alternative. CFL will accommodate where possible.
