Two Year Contract for Boiler Replacement Works
Notice Description
The Contract primarily involves the replacement and installation of new condensing combination boilers, controls and flues throughout Glasgow. The Contract may also include a small number of properties that require replacement of 'heat only' boilers including replacement of the existing boiler and hot water cylinder. The property address list issued with the tender documentation is based upon Southside Housing Association's aim to undertake boiler replacement works to all 144no properties listed within Tender Document 6 during Financial Years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. Southside Housing Association are endeavouring to undertake 72no boiler replacements during financial year 2025-2026 and a further 72no boiler replacements during financial year 2026-2027, and the contract will initially relate to works to be completed during financial years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. Subject to successful completion of the two-year programme of surveys and works, the Contract may be extended by a maximum period of three further years through 1 + 1 + 1 twelve-month extensions from the completion date. However, the actual number of boiler replacement works that can be undertaken during each financial year can only be confirmed by Southside Housing Association to the successful tenderer once this procurement has been completed as the actual number of boiler replacements that Southside Housing Association can undertake relative to their budget will be determined by the tender prices submitted by the highest scoring tenderer. The boiler replacement works during the initial two years of the contract are anticipated to involve; - Replacement of Condensing Combination boilers to approximately 137no existing properties with new boilers, controls, pipework enclosures, modifying boiler housing units, chemical flushing of existing systems, filling systems with inhibitor, installing new magnetic dirt collector, fitting new carbon monoxide alarms, electrical works and providing new EPC's for the properties; and - Replacement of 'heat only' boilers and hot water cylinders to approximately 7no existing properties with new boilers, hot water cylinders, controls, pipework enclosures, modifying boiler housing units, chemical flushing of existing systems, filling systems with inhibitor, installing new magnetic dirt collector, fitting new carbon monoxide alarms, electrical works and providing new EPC's for the properties. The scope of works may also include, as required, replacement of existing radiators, TRV's, wall cores for new boiler flues, condensate pumps, soakaways and asbestos surveys.

Single stage tendering and all bidders may submit a tender.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. SPD Question 2D.1.2- Bidders must provide a separate SPD response (Sections A and B of this Part and Part III) for each subcontractor
Renewal: May take up option of twelve month extensions up to a maximum of three further years (2027-2030) in twelve month increments. Southside Housing Association's estimated budget for the initial two year programme of works is 240,000GBP excluding VAT. Southside Housing Association's estimated budget for the optional extensions up to a maximum of three further years is 504,000GBP excluding VAT.
