East Ayrshire Council (Ayrshire Roads Alliance) is currently inviting tenders from a suitably qualified company to work in close co-operation with the Council and adopt a positive and flexible approach in delivering the construction of a new 3km (approx) Active Travel Route between Barassie and Dundonald within the South Ayrshire Council boundary. The contract completion date is 31st March 2026.

Lot 1

1.1.1. As part of the Client's plan to develop and improve active travel throughout South Ayrshire, the Client intends to provide a high quality, two-way cycle track with adjacent footway for pedestrians, with the intention of enhancing sustainable transport options between the suburban area of Barassie in Troon to the village of Dundonald. The active travel route starts/ends at the junction of the A759 and Kilmarnock Road in Barassie, Troon. The route follows the route of the A759 North West to the roundabout where it continues to follow the A759 carriageway North East to Dundonald. The route is approximately 3km in length. The works must be competed by 31st March 2026 to meet the terms of the external grant funding.

Options: Any additional works required in or around the site to complete the Works.
