Notice Title
Callander Digital Hub
Notice Description
Stirling Council, as part of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal's Digital Quarter, is soon to undertake a procurement exercise for the operation of new digital and coworking space being developed in Callander. This will be located in a newly extended and refurbished library building in Callander (on Church Street, a short distance from the Main Street in Callander). The proposal is for a flexible space where some rooms will be bookable in their entirety for meetings or other use, alongside desk space for individual rentals and access to other services. A feasibility previously commissioned highlighted the need for informal space for networking as well as the more formal space for desks and meetings. In addition there will be shared access to equipment such as a printer, and also a newly installed kitchen. Early consultation with the market as part of the feasibility stage has indicated that 24/7 access to the hub is essential, as is a welcoming and person-centric feel to the facility. A membership model could be considered. To support early market engagement and inform the development of the service specification, we are pleased to invite potential operators of the facility to attend an information session about the forthcoming business opportunity. The purpose of this session is to: - Share initial proposals regarding the scope of the procurement - Gather insights and feedback from potential service providers particularly in terms of possible design layouts before the design is finalised. - Understand market capabilities and any operational constraints - Explore innovative approaches to operating a coworking space. Session Details: Date: Wednesday 10 December 2025 Time: 3pm-4pm Location: Callander Library, South Church Street, Callander, FK17 8BN We welcome your participation and would be grateful for your input. Please confirm your attendance by 5pm on Tuesday 9 December by emailing investinstirling@stirling.gov.uk. We look forward to engaging with you at the session.
