Summary of the contracting process

Aberdeenshire Council has initiated a public procurement process inviting tenders for the "Aberdeenshire Information and Advice Services" project, focusing on the provision of timely, accurate, impartial, confidential advice services to Aberdeenshire residents. The services will cover money issues, welfare benefits, income maximisation, and housing, adhering to the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers Quality Assurance Framework (SNSIAP) 2009. Open to businesses until the submission deadline of 13th February 2026, this tender is in the active procurement stage, involving an open procedure with electronic submissions accepted. The services will be delivered across various areas within Aberdeenshire, with a total contract value of £780,000.

This tender presents expansive opportunities for businesses specialising in community service delivery, legal advice, and social support systems, particularly those experienced in financial and housing advisory services. Companies capable of delivering high-quality, flexible, and accessible advice services through both digital and in-person platforms would find this contract particularly beneficial for business growth. Organisations that can effectively mobilise outreach sessions, volunteer recruitment and training, while supporting government initiatives on poverty reduction, will be well-suited to compete for this opportunity. A strong emphasis on meeting quality assurance frameworks and performance targets, such as client financial gains exceeding £1 million annually, underscores the strategic value of this contract in enhancing community welfare across Aberdeenshire.
