What Would It Take? Community Support for Children Affected by Disabilities
Notice Description
As part of our What Would it Take children's services 5 year plan, West Dunbartonshire HSCP are keen to develop community based support for children and young people with disabilities and their families. We have made a Promise to listen to families views experiences and we will integrate these into how we develop our service. We would like to partner with an experienced and creative provider(s) to bring together a needs led and adaptable service, that can support children and young people at home and in their communities with an evidence based, whole family support approach. We would like to invite interested providers to attend a consultation event on Tuesday the 28th July, at the HSCP offices in 16 Church Street, Dumbarton, G82 1QL. We would like to share our plans to date, and to learn from your expertise about how we can shape a resilient and inclusive service, where our children and young people will be supported to meet their outcomes through individualised support and fun opportunities.

We would like to invite interested providers to attend a consultation and market engagement event on Tuesday 28 July 2026 at the HSCP Offices, 16 Church Street, Dumbarton, G82 1QL. The purpose of the event is to share our plans to date and learn from providers' expertise and experience to help shape a resilient and inclusive service. The future service will seek to support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes through individualised support, community based opportunities and enjoyable activities tailored to their needs and interests. The anticipated service will support children and young people affected by disabilities and their families and will be delivered in line with GIRFEC principles and The Promise. This Prior Information Notice is issued for market engagement purposes only and does not constitute a call for competition. The anticipated contract value is up to 700000 GBP over an initial 3 year period. Attendance at the consultation event is voluntary and participation will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any future procurement process.
