In April 2015, the MOD signed a thirteen year contract with Leidos Europe Ltd to provide the procurement and inventory management of commodity items (as well as the storage and distribution services), that were historically provided in-house by the Logistic Commodities and Services Operating Centre. Leidos, working with the MOD, will transform the way these services are delivered to ensure requirements continue to be met whilst providing best value for money for the department. The organisation delivering these services is known as Team Leidos. Team Leidos would like to make markets aware that we are intending to investigate innovative approaches to fill our Supply of Public Order Equipment requirements. The Land Combat Vehicles 1 Team, part of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (the MoD), intends to award a Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle ('CRARRV') Brake Light System Development contract to Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land Limited (RBSL) for modification of the CRARRV platform design to accommodate brake light systems, trials, and delivery of brake light systems for installation by MoD personnel. The contract will be for two years and have an estimated value of £1,660,636.94, excluding VAT. As this procurement commenced prior to 24 February 2025, it continues to be regulated by the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 in accordance with regulation 3(c) of The Procurement Act 2023 (Commencement No 3 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2024. In accordance with Regulation 4 of the Defence and Security Public Contracts (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/697) this contract falls to be regulated under the provisions of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 as amended (in particular by SI 2019/697 and SI 2020/1450). Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) require a Design Organisation (DO) for the Ordnance, Quick Firing 13 Pounder Gun and Limber to ensure its availability, reliability and maintainability until it’s Out of Service Date (OSD) of 2030. The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), an executive agency of the Department for Transport (DfT), will be completing some Early Market Engagement (EME) for the Theory Test Services reprocurement.  The UK Theory Test is a statutory service owned by the DVSA that is the prerequisite in the driving learner journey to taking the practical test. The Test is made up of two test elements, the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) and Hazard Perception Test (HPT). It is the largest e-assessment in the UK, undertaking at present approximately 3.6 million tests per annum. The service contains 16 different types of Theory Test, including: Car, Motorcycle, Large Goods Vehicles, Passenger Carrying Vehicles, Certificate of Professional Competence, Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), Enhance Rider Scheme, Examiner Car. Encompassed further within this are the additional testing types within the Northern Ireland Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) service, which are Taxi, ADI and Approved Motorcycle Instructor tests.
