Homes England needs to unlock the delivery of 1.5m new homes within this parliament. This will require significant changes to our approach as this target represents an increase in volume of homes built of around 40%. To do that, we require a deeper understanding of the specific, profession-based roles that engage with Homes England - to understand and meet their needs - and the factors that will slow or accelerate progress. At present, we consider roles in the context of 'segments' such as 'Medium-sized Housebuilders' But to understand where growth can come from - and the main barriers or opportunities, we need to build understanding and empathy with the specific needs of those who use our services. This research will begin developing that understanding. It will start with some of the key professions and segments essential to delivery of homes. It will identify the specific, decision-making roles that engage with Homes England when planning new work. And the factors that have material impact. It will look at the nature of those roles, the challenges that are faced, with a view to identifying how Homes England can better support them - through tactical interventions all the way through to the future design of our services. The Authority invites suitably experienced providers for the above Framework for skilled service to provide Heating and Plumbing Service. This Framework Contract will ensure availability of skilled Contractors to deliver the Planned Service requiring differing values and complexities as required for the Framework Contract. Tenderers are required to have a Gas Safe accreditation and F Gas Qualification to be considered for this contract as they are PASS/FAIL It is desireable to have COM CAT 'Core Commercial Catering Appliances 1' or equivalent training. Successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract. The main areas of activity may comprise of, but not exclusively be limited to, Hot and Cold water services, Boiler Replacements, modifications and extensions to existing systems and other planned investment works requiring heating and plumbing services to be completed in ether of the following forms; Operational, schools, commercial and any other properties owned by the Authority or its subsidiaries which may also include properties for sale. The specific Projects details that may be procured under this Framework Contract cannot be clearly defined at this stage, however, indicative volumes, approximate per year are: 10. Newcastle University are looking to procure a samples management system. The University uses a samples management system that was implemented in 2012 but is no longer fit for purpose. Several issues have been identified with this system, leading us to consider an alternative solution. The strategic aims of the project are: • To implement a system which will help to provide the infrastructure for high quality translational research - including clinical trials undertaken as part of undergraduate and post graduate research projects. • To manage the University tissue databanks for researchers across the campus as well as provide access via web. • Access to large numbers of well characterised samples which will enable Newcastle University to maintain its competitive position in relation to other Universities in the Russell Group. • To provide the tools for the University to continue to be a Centre of Excellence for translational research within the Northeast region.
