Walsall Council is seeking a high-quality provider to undertake an expert evaluation of: Our Heritage: Walsall Community Heritage Fund (1st April 2025 - 30th September 2028). Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2025 Walsall Council received a £249,840 grant to deliver the Our Heritage Programme. Central to the project is the upscale of crowdfunding and engagement programmes that will enable heritage organisations to access funding, forge partnerships/supporter networks, and build resilience. 15-20 groups over 4 cohorts are expected to benefit, promoting innovation to champion Walsall's underrepresented heritage. 12 participatory grant making opportunities will be available to further enhance community voice in decision-making. Alongside this, the programme includes refreshment of the Heritage Action Plan, to guide discussions, set direction and identify sector needs over a 5-year period and beyond. The aim of the first, 2021-2026, strategy was to place heritage at the heart of Walsall's future, protecting what exists whilst nurturing sustainability and identifying opportunities to unlock its full value. City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC), in partnership with the West Midlands Collaborative, is inviting tenders to the framework for the provision of Highways Structures Repairs. CWC is acting as the lead authority for this framework, and also purchasing on behalf of Coventry City Council, and the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, and Walsall. The scope of the Framework is for the execution of Highway Works, the works briefly comprising the inspection, maintenance, repair and strengthening of highway structures. The works does not include maintenance and repair of highways except where specifically necessitated by bridge maintenance works. The works may include, but will not be limited to, tasks on the following types of structure: • Highway Over bridges • Highway under bridges (over roads, canals, watercourses and disused railways) • Footbridges (over roads, canals, watercourses and disused railways) • Subways • Retaining Walls • Culverts • Fences and safety barriers • Any other associated structures advised by the Local Authority/Partnering Organisation The estimated value of Works (Package Orders) expected to be procured through the Framework during the 4-year term excluding VAT is £20,000,000 but there are no guarantees of minimum or maximum value or business placed as a result of the Framework Agreement. The Council wishes to procure a contract to purchase Horticulture and Amenities chemicals on demand. The chemicals' main usage will be across the Grounds Maintenance, Cemeteries and Healthy Spaces teams, but may be used in other service areas at the Council's discretion. The contract is intended to ensure an adequate supply of chemicals, backed up by appropriate stock levels so that the Council can place orders and rely on FOC deliveries within 7 calendar days, for receipt at locations across the Borough of Walsall. The successful bidder will be required to provide FOC servicing and calibration, on an annual/pre-season basis, of the Council's 23 Nomix TDC spray lances, 40 batteries and 26 chargers. Quotations will need to be provided for any subsequent repairs that become necessary, for the Council to approve at its sole discretion. NOTE: where a bidder proposes an alternative product that is not compatible with the Nomix TDC spray lance system, they will be required to provide a price (within the pricing schedule) for suitable spray equipment, of the same quantities as stated in 4.0, and FOC servicing and calibration will then apply to the proposed new spray equipment.
