Summary of the contracting process

Nottinghamshire County Council has awarded a contract for the 'Warm Homes Grant' project, focusing on an energy-efficient housing programme in Rushcliffe Borough. This procurement, under the 'works' category, deals specifically with installation services in the East Midlands, UK. The contract was awarded to E.ON UK with an approximate value of £1,584,000, and is expected to span from 1st October 2025 to 30th September 2028. Utilising a selective procurement method through a restricted procedure, this process aimed to address fuel poverty and improve modern thermal standards for semi-detached properties. The project mandates adherence to PAS:2035/2030 standards and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, with active reporting to Rushcliffe Borough Council throughout the contract period.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for enterprises skilled in installation services relating to energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can demonstrate compliance with relevant industry standards, such as TrustMark and MCS, are particularly well-suited to engage in subcontracting roles within this project. Businesses that can innovate in solutions for hard-to-treat constructions and manage comprehensive customer relations stand to benefit from the required responsibilities, affording potential for not only project-based revenue but long-term collaborative opportunities with public sector bodies like Nottinghamshire County Council and its associated borough entities.
