Notice Description

The British High Commission Ottawa is seeking to commission research on the current and outlook of mutual recognition of professional qualifications between Canada and the UK. The research will contribute to the work the UK is undertaking to identify and reduce current and future market access barriers within professional services and create opportunities for deepening the trading relationship in key service sectors between the UK and Canada. Also, developing comprehensive strategies to deliver more economic opportunities for professional services across Canada. The High Commission is also seeking a quantitative outlook on the current value of UK professional services accredited in Canada and the value of UK professional services nonaccredited in Canada. The British High Commission Ottawa specifically wants to gain a broader understanding of the different accreditation processes by province for the engineering and architecture professions and how to gain mutual recognition and improve access through a FTA, MOU and MRA.
