Summary of the contracting process

The N E L Commissioning Support Unit is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the "Acute Confusional State Pathway" project, aimed at providing health services in Northamptonshire, East Midlands. The procurement is intended to establish a 12-month pilot service for individuals experiencing the effects of an acute confusional state who are medically fit. Interested providers are required to submit an expression of interest by 5:00 PM on 19th July 2019, following which selected participants will be invited to a workshop on 29th July 2019 to discuss project requirements.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those focused on vulnerable populations, including those aged over 65 and individuals with dementia. Providers with a CQC registration that covers nursing or personal care and those able to manage 10 beds or offer equivalent service capacity would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, there is an emphasis on collaboration with the commissioning body, making this an ideal opportunity for organisations willing to engage in data-driven discussions to enhance service delivery.
