Summary of the contracting process

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is conducting a tender for the "HCA Lea Castle Hospital Kidderminster Bat Mitigation Construction" project, located in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. This procurement falls under the construction industry category and is currently at the award stage, having been completed as of February 5, 2018. The tender was published on November 6, 2017, with a submission deadline of December 15, 2017. The contract is valued at £230,000 with a minimum value of £200,000, and the work encompasses the construction of bat mitigation structures, including the conversion of a substation and provision of underground hibernacula.

This project presents significant opportunities for SMEs specialising in construction, especially those experienced in ecological conservation and asbestos handling, as it requires specifically trained contractors due to the nature of the work involved. Interested bidders must have proper insurance coverage and compliance with health and safety regulations. Given the HCA's emphasis on transparency and adherence to legislative standards, businesses participating in this tender would need to ensure they offer competitive pricing and demonstrate their commitment to quality and regulatory compliance to secure contracts.
