Notice Title

Provision of Resettlement Support Services in South Gloucestershire

Notice Description

South Gloucestershire Council is looking to re-procure its Resettlement and Integration Support Service that provides support to resettled individuals/families that have been resettled in South Gloucestershire following acceptance onto either of the below Home Office schemes: * UK Resettlement Scheme - Current contract ends 30th June 2022 * Afghanistan Locally Employed Staff/Afghanistan Relocation and Assistance Policy Resettlement Schemes - Current contract ends 31st December 2022 1.2 The aim of the support service is to support individuals/families to achieve integration and self-sufficiency in their lives in the UK, being able over time to independently access local public services, feel at home and connected in their local community, and meet their own needs including housing, health, education and employment. Individuals/families would be referred through to the Council via two current schemes (UK Resettlement Scheme or the ALES/ARAP scheme). Individuals/families would have support from the support service from 3 to 5 years (depending on what scheme they are referred through). 1.3 The objectives of the support service would be to ensure either directly, or in partnership, that the following needs of the individuals/families are met: * Immigration status and related issues * Housing related support * Health and Wellbeing * Financial stability * Childcare and Education * Skills Training and Employment * Cultural and Community Integration * Self-dependency 1.4 At the end of their support from the support service the individuals/families should be able to live as independently as possible from the support service and integrated within their local community. 1.5 For this requirement, the resettlement and integration support service would be staggered in how they support the schemes due to the two contracts ending at different stages in 2022. UK Resettlement Scheme Support Service - contract ending 30th June 2022 ALES/ARAP Resettlement Support Service - contract ending 31st December 2022 1.6 Initially the support service will start supporting those resettled through the UK Resettlement Scheme from the 01st July and then from the 01st January 2023 supporting those resettled through the ALES/ARAP Scheme, so the service will be staggered for the first 6 months in supporting the schemes. 1.7 The Council is also confirming during this tender period its support to the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) which is a separate scheme to the ARAP scheme, information on this scheme has been included in Schedule 3 and by the time the contract is awarded the pledge to support this scheme will be confirmed. Support for the ACRS scheme would be included within the ARAP Resettlement Support Service and so the support service would also be expected to support this scheme from the 1st January 2023.
