Summary of the contracting process

The Bracknell Forest Borough Council is initiating a procurement process for the "0-19 Public Health Nursing Service", aimed at enhancing health outcomes for children and young people aged 0-19, as well as supporting looked after children up to 25 years old. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 21 July 2017. The contract is worth between £2.6 million and £6.5 million and is expected to commence on 1 April 2018, lasting an initial two years with the possibility of three additional years. The relevant industry category falls under health services, specifically focused on welfare and community health services within the South East region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those specialising in public health, community services, and family support. Companies that provide nursing services, health visitor expertise, and have experience in implementing programmes aimed at improving children's health would be particularly well-suited to compete. The total contract value and potential for extensions make this an attractive prospect for organisations looking to expand their services within the public health sector.
