Notice Title
South Staffordshire Community MSK Services. Market Engagement event
Notice Description
NHS Stafford and Surrounds CCG, Cannock Chase CCG and South East Staffordshire and Seisdon Peninsular CCG are intending to undertake in the future a formal procurement for Community Musculoskeletal services across the aforementioned CCG catchment areas. The Commissioners wish to undertake early engagement with potential Providers and Sub-contractors and the market in general who share our passion and commitment and who are dedicated to providing the very best choice, service and patient care standards. In particular the commissioners would like to discuss their plans with the market to understand capacity and the ability of Providers to deliver this service. The proposed service will look to provide early assessment, diagnosis and treatment of MSK conditions; it will treat patients quickly and effectively before their condition becomes chronic and more complex to treat. In partnership with the patient, treatment goals and a plan of intervention will be agreed, in accordance with the diagnosis and prognosis of the condition. The service will educate and support patients and their carers with their conditions and offer advice on management of daily activities, preventative measures, equipment and health promotion to improve patient experience. The final full-service specification will be published as part of a future procurement process in early 2019. Additional information: The market engagement event relating to these contracts will be held on 12 December 2018 in Stafford. Interested parties are asked to express their interest via e-mail to r.klimczak@nhs.net and elizabeth.johnson1@nhs.net stating your Company name and contact details for details of the venue to be sent to. Should a procurement be undertaken, this will be done via the Midlands and Lancashire CSU e-procurement portal hosted by Bravo Solutions. 'Light Touch Regime' services: The future procurement will be for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations('Regulations'). Accordingly, the contracting authorities are only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations. The procedure which the contracting authorities are following is set out in the MOI. As the CCG is a relevant body for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement.
