782/2019 Health & Care Personal Assistant Support Service (Direct Payments & Personal Health Budgets)
Notice Description
Croydon Council and Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking to procure a provider to deliver a Personal Assistant support service to residents of the London Borough of Croydon. The service will involve supporting residents in their recruitment and employment of personal assistants and developing the local market of personal assistants. The Council and CCG wish to improve the personalisation ,choice and control held by Croydon residents by making a significant increase in the number of local people who use Direct Payments and or Personal Health Budgets to arrange their own care and support. The Council and CCG wish to a. Significantly increase the number of residents with a Personal Assistant; b. Significantly increase the numbr of people employed within Croydon as a Personal Assistant; c. Help residents with Personal Assistants to be good employers who retain their Personal Assistants; d. Improve the capability and capacity of the local market of Personal Assistants through training advice and other support. The contract term will be for a period of 2 (two) years with the option to extend for a further two periods of up to 12 months each up to a maximum of four (4) years. The anticipated contract start date will be the 1st November 2019. The overall value of the contract is estimated at PS480,000 over four years.The Council requires the successful Service Providers to comply with the London Living Wage. This tender process is being carried out under a one stage open tender procurement under the Light Touch Regime of the PCR 2015 for the purposes of procuring the contract.
