Summary of the contracting process

The Durham Police Procurement Team is seeking to provide Vehicle Recovery Services under the tender titled "Vehicle Recovery Services - FLEET 01". This procurement process, falling within the services industry, is being conducted in County Durham, United Kingdom. The procurement is currently at the Award stage, with the contract period commencing on 1st October 2019 and concluding on 30th September 2024. This selective procurement process, conducted through a restricted procedure, has already seen suppliers submit their bids, which were due by 6th May 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in vehicle recovery and towing services, particularly those that can operate within the North East region of the UK. Companies that can provide breakdown and recovery services, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs), would be well-suited to compete for this contract. The divided geographic lots enhance potential for multiple suppliers to engage, leading to broader growth possibilities within this sector.
