Notice Description

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) will be holding a virtual market engagement event via Microsoft Teams on the 6th March 2025 at 2pm for the HMPPS Prisoner Family Helpline contract. HMPPS Prisoner's Family Helpline provides advice information on all aspects of the Criminal Justice System from what happens on arrest, visiting a prison, to preparing for release. In addition to practical support, the helpline is there to offer emotional support to help support family's emotional resilience and often advocate on behalf of the prisoner's families and significant others. Chatt bott can be used to support individuals with low level queries. HMPPS recognises the significant role that families can play in supporting an offender and wish to improve these outcomes by supporting families and significant others where possible. The helpline is one of these ways. The Prisoner's Family Helpline should provide, but not be limited to: - Practical information and guidance on all aspects of the Criminal Justice System, including arrest, detention and trial at court; - How to organise and cope with a prison visit; - Information on how a prison works; - Information on benefits and financial help, etc.; - Emotional support to help support family's emotional resilience; - How to cope with stress; - How to cope with disruption to life; - Help with parenting and relationship issues; - How to cope with imprisonment; - Good quality information to interested parties, engaging with the other service providers and working with families and significant others of prisoners; The provider will operate a website, with the overall intellectual rights owned by HMPPS. - The website should include: - Links to related organisations. - Links to downloadable information covering a comprehensive range of offender related issues. - An email address for users to contact outside of the helpline opening hours The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) will be holding a virtual market engagement event on 6th March 2025 at 2pm via Microsoft Teams, to register for this event please email MoJCommercialReset@justice.gov.uk Additional information: The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) will be holding a virtual market engagement event on 6th March 2025 at 2pm via Microsoft Teams, to register for this event please email MoJCommercialReset@justice.gov.uk
