Summary of the contracting process

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), acting on behalf of South Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), is in the planning stage of a procurement process for "End of Life Care" services. This initiative is aimed at organisations with experience in health and social work services, particularly those situated in the North East of England. A market engagement event is scheduled for 10th October 2019, at Monkton Hall, Jarrow, with a deadline for engagement responses set for the same date. This exercise is designed to gather insights and gauge interest for potential partnerships in developing service models for end-of-life care.

This procurement opportunity represents significant potential for growth for businesses operating in the health and social care sector, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Organisations that can demonstrate relevant expertise and a commitment to collaborative working are encouraged to participate in this early engagement, as it may lead to future partnerships aimed at enhancing care services within the South Tyneside area.
