Summary of the contracting process

The Pension Protection Fund is conducting a procurement process titled "Global Investor Class Action Claims," which falls under the financial and insurance services category. This selective tender process, initiated to monitor and manage class actions, has a contract period spanning from 16 June 2020 to 15 June 2021. The deadline for submitting bids was 7 May 2020. The total estimated contract value is £800,000, depending on the outcomes of class actions that the Fund may pursue, with the primary location for delivery being Croydon, England.

This tender offers a significant opportunity for businesses in the financial services sector, particularly those specialising in legal and class action management services. Companies with expertise in managing investments and navigating complex claims processes would be well positioned to compete. Given the potential variability in contract value, agile service providers that can adapt to diverse and unpredictable class action scenarios will likely find themselves more competitive in this procurement opportunity.

Notice Title

Global Investor Class Action Claims

Notice Description

The Board is seeking to appoint a service provider who can monitor and manage Class Actions on behalf of the PPF to deliver maximum return from each class action followed Additional information: The contract value over the maximum possible contract term (4 years) is hard to predict; we do not know how many class actions the PPF will be able to take part in and the extent to which we will be successful and make recoveries. The contract has therefore been calculated as a range on the basis of worst case scenario - the PPF makes no recoveries best case scenario - we receive an income that the service provider makes a contingent fee from which we estimate to be a maximum of PS800,000.
