Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group is planning to procure a Community Phlebotomy Service titled "PRJ 821 Community Phlebotomy Service," aimed at addressing significant health inequalities in Enfield, London. The contract is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2020 and is set to extend until 31st January 2024, with a total estimated value of £1.8 million over the four-year period. A market engagement event is planned for 27th September 2019 to discuss this service, with registration required by 24th September 2019. This ongoing planning stage indicates the commitment of the CCG to engage potential providers actively before a formal procurement process is initiated.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sectors, particularly those specialising in community health services and phlebotomy. Companies that can provide routine and domiciliary blood testing services are encouraged to participate, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can offer tailored, accessible care solutions. Engaging in this market testing will allow interested providers to better understand the needs of the local population and position themselves strategically for future contract opportunities if the CCG decides to proceed with a procurement process.
