The Council wish to appoint a Developer who is committed to providing new housing at the Askew Road West site for the borough of Gateshead. This is a residential led mixed-use development opportunity for a site that is identified in the Councils Core Strategy as the Southern Gateway Development Opportunity. The subject Site is located just off Askew Road West (A184) and measures approximately 6.18 acres (2.50ha). Additional information: Please Note ; The Council considers the contract value for this Contract is likely to represent PS5m - PS8m. This is reflective of the potential value which flows to the developer based upon an assessment of a residential development in accordance with the Permission in Principle. The actual contract value will be dependent upon the specific development scheme and confirmed in the contract award notice.
