NHS Leeds CCG Implement React to Red training
Notice Description
NHS Leeds CCG wish to contract with a provider to deliver the React to Red training and development programme to care home staff. The training model is mandated and the material already developed. All 139 care homes in Leeds are to receive the training and the schedule of delivery is to be planned and organised by the provider. The training is to include train-the-trainer so is not an ongoing programme once all homes have received the training. The training is to be delivered within 12 months. One of the biggest challenges care organisations face is the prevention of avoidable pressure ulcers. Many pressures can be avoided if knowledge is provided and preventative best practice is followed. Objectives - The provider will ensure that at least 3 members of care staff are trained in each home using the React to Red concept; and that all trained staff have been assessed as competent to deliver the react to red programme effectively. - The provider will ensure that there is a project plan in place to identify how the homes will be prioritised and how the training will be delivered within the 12 month allotted period. - The provider will develop systems and processes to capture the training delivered; the homes trained; a bench mark of the number of pressure ulcers acquired whilst in the home in the last 12 months. - The provider will support the development of a peer network group that can be sustained over a long period of time and embedded into practice to enable the trainers to support one another and work through challenges.
