Notice Description

Essex County Council have appointed a provider to provide Independent Governance & Administration Advisory services to the Essex Pension Fund under the National LGPS Framework for Actuarial, Benefit and Governance Consultancy Services Reference number - NCCT40954. This notice contains an estimated value over the life of the contract based on the schedule of rates tendered by the successful supplier. This contract will provide services relating to the proper governance of a Local Government Pension Scheme including: 1. Preparation for, attendance at and participation in, meetings of the Essex Pension Fund Strategy Board, Essex Pension Fund Advisory Board and other meetings with Board Members and Fund officers; 2. Guidance on the proper governance and administration of the Fund; 3. Advice on best practice and compliance with requirement under relevant guidance, legislation and regulations; 4. Preparation and delivery of training and/or presentations to various forums; 5. Assistance to Fund officers in the development of governance and administration systems; 6. Provision of tools required to facilitate good governance subject to further agreement where required; 7. Reviewing in house administration systems where required; 8. Provision of advice on technical aspects of the LGPS where required; 9. Liaison with other professionals (actuary, legal advisers etc) where required; 10. An understanding of the implications of the LGPS Asset Pooling agenda.
